Search syntax
MusaiSearch supports powerful query modifiers to guide your discovery journey. You can tweak categories, engines, languages, and more. See Preferences for available engines, categories, and languages.
! Select engine and category
Use a ! prefix to target specific engines or categories. Examples:
- Search Wikipedia for paris:
!wp parisor!wikipedia paris - Search in category map for paris:
!map paris - Image search:
!images Wau Holland
Abbreviations are accepted. Modifiers are chainable and inclusive, e.g. !map !ddg !wp paris.
: Select language
Use a : prefix to select a language filter. Example:
- Search Wikipedia in French:
:fr !wp Wau Holland
!!<bang> External bangs
MusaiSearch supports DuckDuckGo external bangs. Use !! to jump directly to an external search page, e.g. !!wfr Wau Holland.
Note: this opens an external site directly. MusaiSearch cannot protect your privacy once you leave this site.
!! automatic redirect
Include !! in your query (separated by spaces) to auto‑redirect to the first result, similar to “Feeling Lucky”. Example: !! Wau Holland.
Caution: redirect destinations can’t be verified for trustworthiness, and MusaiSearch cannot protect your privacy on external sites.
